About Industrial Candelilla Wax

Candelilla wax is a natural vegetable wax extracted from the leaves of the small Candelilla shrub. It is mostly used mixed with other waxes to harden them without raising their melting point.
It is used as: food additive, glazing agent and in varnishes. It also finds use in cosmetic industry, as a component of : Creams, salves, ointments, protective creams, balms, pomades, lipsticks, mascaras, lip gloss.
